Event Content Creation: A Social-First Alternative to Traditional Event Videography

Whether you’re planning a charity gala, brand launch or community event in 2026, you probably know that the success of an event goes far beyond one night.

Events today aren’t just for the people lucky enough to attend them. They have a purpose beyond their time and space, living on through the content we create from them and reaching far more people than your guest list ever could.

When you’re investing thousands of dollars into a single day or night, you want that investment to reach beyond the capacity of your venue.

If you’re a seasoned event planner, you already know you can’t capture it all on your own. Once the event is underway, your attention is on your guests, your team and the million little details that need to be handled in the moment.

But traditional event videography may not be the right fit either. You might not need a full-length professionally produced event film.

That’s where social-first event content creation comes in.

What Is Social-First Event Content Creation?

Instead of treating your event as something to document in one polished video, social-first event content creation looks at it through the lens of what will work best on TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.

Your social-first videographer will look for moments that:

  • will work best as Reels/Shorts/TikToks

  • can be used to promote future events

  • capture the atmosphere and aesthetic of your brand & event

  • can be used as sound bites on socials

  • will communicate the purpose of your event

  • can be repurposed for other events, launches, posts, etc.

This type of event videography coverage allows for budget flexibility compared to traditional videography with a more polished and professional set-up than simply capturing content yourself.

What Does Event Content Coverage Include?

When you book us for event content creation you get the full package.

Pre-Event Planning

Before your event we meet with you and your team to understand:

  • the purpose & flow of your event

  • the vision you have for your content

  • what moments are most important to capture

  • your brand priorities

For some events we book a pre-event filming date to capture promotional videos for your event.

Event Coverage

Depending on your package, one or two shooters capture up to 6 hours of your event, using a combination of:

  • iPhone

  • DJI Osmo Pocket 3

  • lapel microphones

  • candid footage

  • speeches & interviews

  • behind-the-scenes content

  • b-roll

Post-Event Content

After your event we turn footage into social-ready content including captions, trending audio, and cover images.

Depending on your content package you get 6+ fully edited and ready-to-post pieces of short-form video content, optimized for your platform of choice.

We can have one event recap video available within 48-hours or deliver all content within 7-business days.

Event Content Creation in Action: Shabbat House Toronto

When the organizers behind @shabbathouseto came to us with a vision for their first community event, we knew exactly what they needed to bring their vision to life.

Their package included:

  • Pre-Event Filming of up to 6 Promotional Short-Form Videos

  • Full Event Coverage with 2 shooters for up to 6-hours

  • Post-Event Content including captions, covers & trending audio for up to 8 videos.

Their goal was simple: make Shabbat cool again and get people to come out to their event.

Our Pre-Event content goals were all about hype building and creating an aesthetic that matched the branding they had already created. We used a combination of stock videos and videos featuring the organizers, Lani Levy & Lexi Berger, to hit the ground running.

The result? A sold out event in less than 4-weeks.

When covering the event we knew the style our client was looking for: chic, trendy and effortless.

We used a combination of iPhone & Osmo Pocket 3 to capture 4K content that matched the vibe of the event. We also purchased disposable cameras to capture the night and work into some of our Instagram Reels.

We focused on community building, looking for moments of joy, friendship, laughter, etc. We also captured b-roll of the guest fashion, the blessing before dinner, dancing and OF COURSE…the amazing FOOD by @romis_to

Who Is Event Content Creation For?

Community Events

Capture the people, energy and moments that make your community event meaningful.

Charity & Nonprofit Events

Create content that shows the impact of the event while giving your organization assets for future fundraising and awareness campaigns.

Business Launches

Capture the launch while creating promotional content you can continue using after opening day.

Brand Activations

Show what happened, who attended and how people interacted with your brand.

Corporate Events

Create social content without requiring your internal marketing team to spend the entire event filming.

Recurring Events

Build a library of footage that can be reused to promote future editions of the event.

Make Sure Your Event Lives on Forever.

An event shouldn't have to disappear from your social feed the moment the last guest leaves.

With the right content strategy, one event can give you weeks or even months of social content. You can recap what happened, highlight the people involved, share memorable moments, promote the next event and continue telling the story long after the room has emptied.

That's the difference between simply documenting an event and creating content from an event.
